Hard water can be especially detrimental to carpet cleaning equipment. The high concentration of dissolved minerals within hard water, transform themselves into a hard scale when heated and pressurized.

Prochem EZ-Charge water softener

Prochem's EZ-Charge Water Softener removes the calcium and magnesium minerals from the water and replaces them with sodium, which does not form a scale or interfere with detergent performance. This water softener requires no electrical source for regeneration, because it has no electrical components. It can be recharged anytime and anywhere there is a fresh water source.
